6th UPF UK NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
| |
Location; Base Camp Sheffield.
Chief Judge; Steve Owen & Apprenticed by Paul Lockhart.
|
| |
The 130lb class probably can only be taken by Kiaser, a dog with a quite slow comfortable style-easy on the pulling, but as Dee hooks up herself, will have to watch the release and contact.
|
| |
One of the most contested classes will be the 80lb, with both Player and Hooli going head to head, and two Winstons, Young Chris and Mickey both with strong dogs comming close in behind.
|
| |
This season has seen much improvement in both the Winstons, Mickeys dog Winno has shown himself to be determined and strong, and although Mickey has had some teething problems with release I'm sure he'll have it together for the nationals
|
| |
Young Chris has been consistant in his training, and Winston is such a strong dog and still only just a yearling, we are all sure we will see this young dog achieve much in the seasons to come- and will be no push over at this nationals.
|
| |
The other highly constested class will be the 55lb, This will see both the pocket rocket-Diddy, and her kennel mate Missey.
Kane will pull Diddy, and if the last event is anything to go on, its going to be a cracker-after a year off whilst having pups, we can all attest that she's back- pulling as strong as ever.
|
| |
Then we have Missey, Chris has been consistantly working, conditioning and training this young girl to a highly competitive standard.
Showing strong pulls and taking part consistantly in our demonstrations this year.
We all knew she was strong, and with the training and work Chris has put in will make this class a real event in its own right.
|
| |
Not to rule out -but we do have a 65lb class for this years nationals, a young dog Ruben, who started down the base camp early this season.
A EBT just turned a year, so the nationals will be the first competitive pull for this youngster, early showing makes this youngster a must for the future, pulling consistantly, and with great strength, with Ruben being the only contender in this class, a must for the title,as long as he makes a good pull-John has worked well with his young dog, although we are not sure if his partner will pull Ruben yet-lovely dog with a lot to look forward to.
|
| |
For me as a judge and a member of the Players club I cant wait, although I wish the field was bigger- the right dogs are there, and it will make for a real blowout comp' I think both Player in the 80lb & Diddy in the 55lb will take some beating- its all still to play for.
People: Come and watch enjoy the sport at its best and spend time with dogmen and women, and see the best of the best-you know it makes sense.
